Windows 7 is no longer supported what should I do?

Windows 7 End of Life

Microsoft has ended support for all Windows 7 operating systems as of 14th January 2020. Microsoft released Windows 7 in 2009 and committed to supporting the operating system for ten years. Windows 7 is no longer supported what should I do?

This means that technical assistance and, more importantly, software and security updates that help protect the PC’s and laptops running Windows 7, are no longer available.

We strongly advocate that all users move machines running Windows 7 to Windows 10 to avoid any security risks.

To take advantage of the latest hardware capabilities, we advise moving to a new PC or laptop running Windows 10. As an alternative, you can upgrade compatible Windows 7 machines by purchasing and installing a full version of Windows 10.

If you continue to use Windows 7 your machine will continue to work, but it will be extremely vulnerable to security risks and viruses. There is no satisfactory way to fully mitigate this risk and, we strongly suggest that you move to Windows 10.
